Nokia recently updated its segment of smart phones of basic and intermediate range with Nokia 2 (2018), Nokia 3 (2018) and Nokia 5 (2018). But, it seems that the Finnish phone brand is not looking to stop for the moment. Nokia 5.1 Plus has been in the news for the last weeks and has been leaked in several renders and certification portals. In the latest set of developments, the specifications of the next Nokia mid-range smartphone have been detected online, along with certain design elements.

In a list of the TENAA certification Chinese portal, which was first seen in SlashLeaks, the Nokia 5.1 Plus has been filtered with the model number TA-1109. According to the list, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is expected to run Android 8.1 Oreo ready to use and have a 5.86-inch HD + TFT panel (720x1520 pixels) with a 19: 9 aspect ratio that points towards the presence of a notch, that has been observed previously with the phone renders. However, this does not follow from the images that accompany the TENAA list at the moment.

The phone, which is expected to be called Nokia 5.1 Plus, will have an octa-core SoC, with a speed of 2.0 GHz, possibly from the MediaTek P series or Qualcomm Snapdragon 600. The SoC will be combined with 3 GB / 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 32 GB / 64 GB of internal storage. As for the specifications of the camera, the phone has a vertical dual camera configuration on the back with a primary sensor of 13 megapixels. On the front, an 8 megapixel selfie camera is expected.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone gets 4G VoLTE (with compatibility with Band 40), Bluetooth, USB and the like. There is a 3000mAh battery under the hood. Onboard sensors of the supposed Nokia 5.1 Plus include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor mounted on the back and proximity sensor. The phone measures 149.51x71.98x8.1mm and weighs 160 grams.

In particular, this is the same model number that was seen in the Bluetooth certification. Some reports suggest that this could also be the Nokia X5 (2018), however, the nickname of Nokia 5.1 Plus is highly likely.
